This is an experimental ambient piece that I made using lots of different sounds - too many to list! My favourite is the beep from the first artificial earth satellite "Sputnik 1" or "Elementary Satellite 1" launched by the Russians in 1957. Travelling at 18,000 mph, it was visible worldwide and it's signal was transmitted and monitored by amateur radio operators all over the world. The surprise success of it triggered the "Sputnik crisis" and precipitated the so-called "Space Race".... But it's a lovely soft beep isn't it?

the figure pulsates
what we have here is an interference phenomenon
music can also be made visible

Ah heck, I just love sound and can't stop playing with it, who am I kidding!! ... more
